1/3 profile human design

Walk into a room and on average one in every five people will be a Projector (20% of the population). We’re not the rarest Type within Human Design, but we’re susceptible to being the most conditioned. Whether you just found out you are a Human Design Projector with a 1/3 profile, or you’ve known this for years, this blog is going to go through the ins and outs of it all. Ann Smyth is a Human Design Life & Leadership Coach for those looking to fall back in love with their lives. The combination of Line 1 and Line 3 in the 1/3 Profile creates a dynamic and resourceful individual who is dedicated to uniquely establishing knowledge and truth. As a 1/3 Projector, waiting for the invitation can be a powerful practice for decision-making and relationships.

Again the results of which are analyzed in “What affect did that have on me? It is through the experience of things that work well and things that don’t work so well that the 3rd line becomes wise about the best way to do things. Once the wisdom occurs the 3rd line will look to repeat the positive results and minimize or eliminate the negative or unproductive experiences. Be true to your nature, follow your Sacral responses, and embrace your unique journey as a 1/3 Generator.

Books, data, courses, listening, self study, education. Learning for you doesn’t have to look like sitting in a classroom for hours on end. First, understand that authenticity means staying true to your investigative nature. Allow your curiosity to guide you, and don’t suppress your desire to explore and understand. 3 Manifesting Generator Profile in Human Design

Sometimes such a Personality, being in the process of excavation, does not notice the action of the Body. Still, because 1/3 is the most self-immersed, self-centered Profile. That is, the Body of the 3rd Line has already entered into some kind of experience, heaped up things, and the 1st Line of Personality sometimes only needs to observe the results. Lastly, view solitude as an opportunity to reconnect with yourself. It’s a time to nourish your spirit, recharge your energy, and realign with your purpose. Third, build regular periods of solitude into your routine.

As a 1/3 you need to activate both parts of your profile to see it work as a whole. Don’t be afraid to get out there and use your Line 3 energy to figure out what works (and what doesn’t work!) in order to move forward. The very thing that is going to ‘uphold’ the experimental phase. Taking the time to learn what you need to learn before moving into the ‘trial and error’ part. From the outside looking in, it may appear that you’re ‘taking too long’ to make a move. Your alone time and need to learn, plan and feel ready is absolutely necessary.

How YOU can get into alignment as a Projector! Video here !

As a Projector, your energy operates optimally when it’s recognized and invited. Understanding who you are at the core, including your desires, passions, strengths, and values, is a crucial step in identifying your purpose. As a 1/3 Projector, aligning with your purpose is paramount to living a fulfilling life. Reflection enables you to extract wisdom from your experiences and apply it in future situations.

Understanding the 1/3 Investigator Martyr Profile

By aligning their investigation and learning with their passions, they can find great fulfillment. However, despite this, there are many intriguing concepts within the system, some of which are grounded in psychology. Certainly, there appear to be many overlaps between the profiles and various personality profile models.

The energy of the Investigator one line compels the 1/3 to figure things out through personal experiences. However, the Generator strategy can help to speed up this process by rejecting incorrect opportunities without the need to first experiment with them. The most important gift Human Design has to offer humanity is our decision-making strategy. Based on what type you are, will determine how you best make decisions. So if you’re a Projector, this means you have to wait to be recognized and invited for the big opportunities in life (e.g., home, career, love, and relationships). Waiting to be recognized and invited is the first step in knowing how to move forward in life.

It gives you the capacity for sustained work and makes you a powerhouse of energy. With this in mind, at the end of each of my articles, I attempt to deconstruct the specific component of Human Design discussed with the post, and look for common features with accredited research. In order to avoid burnout created by incorrect obligations, it’s important for the 1/3 MG to resist the impulsivity of their third line, by tuning into and heeding their Sacral response. The 1/3 profile perfectly complements the Pure Generator type. The inquisitive and adventurous nature of the third line perfectly harmonises the Manifestor’s drive to initiate. The Investigator Martyr’s desire for rich knowledge is rooted in a need for security.

However, it’s crucial for them to remember the importance of patience and not rushing the investigative process. Their desire for security in relationships should be balanced with the natural unfolding of getting to know their partner. Interactions with other profiles can also be a source of learning and understanding. For example, interacting with a 2/4 Profile may bring about a dance of depth and openness, while a relationship with a 5/1 Profile could teach the 1/3 Profile about the balance of depth and universality.

Individuals with the 1/3 Profile are often seen as pioneers and trailblazers in their fields, unafraid to question the status quo and push the boundaries of what is known. They approach life with a sense of curiosity and a willingness to learn from both successes and failures. While they may encounter obstacles along the way, their resilience and determination ultimately propel them forward on their journey of discovery. In Human Design, the 1/3 Profile, also known as the Investigator/Martyr, combines the energies of both the first and third lines.

There is one Myers-Briggs personality type that stands out as being highly comparable. A significant trait of Reflectors is their difficulty in truly knowing their true nature and authentic self. This is a direct result of always mirroring those around them who they admire, and this is important in the context of the Investigator Martyr profile. It is energetically correct for Projectors – and especially 1/3 Projectors – to need alone time on their journey of self-discovery. It is energetically correct for 1/3 Projectors to need alone time on their journey of self-discovery.

Individuals with a 1/3 Profile face unique challenges and growth opportunities. One such challenge may be dealing with the occasional ‘failure’ or mistake as they pursue their process of trial-and-error learning. It’s essential for these individuals to understand that such experiences aren’t failures, but rather stepping stones towards greater understanding and wisdom. We can choose to reframe failure here, instead of believing everything we’ve been told about it. Failure gets us closer to knowing what is right for us, what we want in life. If you feel like this is where you are in life, just start by bringing back the awareness that it is your nature to try things, even if they don’t go as planned.

This unique combination of traits can offer valuable insights into your strengths, challenges, and personal growth opportunities. Before we go any further, it is very important to state that there are so many factors in our individual charts that can see the 'generalisations' of Human Design types/profiles/authority change. Not everything we read/learn/hear about our particular charts will always resonate. Our charts don't take into account our life experiences, so there is no way anyone could possibly determine exactly who you are and what makes you tick simply by looking at your chart.

First, understand that frustration is not necessarily a negative state. Instead, it’s a sign that you’re not in alignment with your true nature or not honoring your Sacral response. As a final note, remember that your Human Design Chart is a holistic system. Your Profile interacts with your Type, Centers, Channels, and Gates to create a unique design.
