You should also compare multiple sites to find the one that best suits your requirements. Because of differences in data collection and housing policy, caution is advised when comparing Scotland's estimates with other areas in England and Wales and within Scotland. More information is available in our PIPR Quality and Methodology Information (QMI). BTR as a sector is facing many of the same headwinds the rest of the home building industry confronts, with persistently elevated interest rates and inflated construction expenses near the top.

While mitigation efforts are made, price changes at local levels can be influenced by the type and number of properties collected in any given period, which may lead to volatility. Longer-term trends should be considered for lower-level geographic breakdowns, rather than monthly movements. This is known as a base effect, as explained in our Beware base effects blog. Scotland's average house price fell in winter 2022 to 2023, reaching a low point in February 2023. Scotland's average house price returned to mid-2022 price levels by mid-2023 and has since remained comparatively stable. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Denver, Sacramento, Riverside and Minneapolis bring up the bottom of the top 20, each of them with fewer than 1,000 BTR units under construction. In Alabama, the dramatic growth of jobs and residents in Huntsville has supercharged the production of BTR houses.

In the years before Covid turned our worlds upside down, an average 6,600 BTR houses were constructed annually nationwide.

After that, the pace of new completions is likely to moderate, the nationwide apartment listing service observed. Anyone prepared to argue there’s really nothing new under the sun in the U.S. housing market hasn’t glimpsed RentCafe’s annual Build-to-Rent Construction Report, out just last week. The niche comprised of single-family houses built expressly to be rented has established its fifth straight yearly record, with more residences than ever being constructed.

The explosive growth of the market, especially in the last three years, is evident in the following figures. That number grew to 6,434 in 2016, 9,978 in 2021, 15,691 in 2022 and 27,495 last year. Approximately 27,500 build-to-rent (BTR) houses were completed last year, a number 75% greater than 2022.

PIPR replaced the Index of Private Housing Rental Prices (IPHRP) and Private Rental Market Summary Statistics (PRMS) in March 2024. PIPR produces rent prices that are comparable over time (unlike PRMS) and publishes at increased geographic granularity than IPHRP. The Price Index of Private Rents (PIPR) reflects price changes for all privately-rented properties (including for existing tenancies), not only changes for newly-advertised lets.

It also has a personalized dashboard to view your search history and manage your account settings. Customers often complain about slow and unresponsive customer service. In recent periods, the total transaction volumes and new build volumes available to calculate UK HPI estimates for recent months have been lower than historically.

There was a varied distribution in average monthly private rents across local authorities in England and Wales, and Broad Rental Market Areas in Scotland. Moreover, the vacancy index has increased from 4.1% in 2021 to 6.6% in 2023. Landlords are compelled to find new ways to look for potential renters. These caps and restrictions will not be reflected in the price of new lets used to estimate the price of existing tenancies. Scotland rents data are predominantly for advertised new lets, with only a small proportion based on existing lets data. Therefore, price changes for existing tenancies are largely estimated for Scotland.

Each subsequent month, updated Northern Ireland data are used to revise estimates for the UK. This means that there is a two-month revision period for the UK series in PIPR. By chain-linking the IPHRP (pre-2015) and PIPR (2015 onward) indices together, we have published a full historical series for the UK, Great Britain, its countries and English regions. Series begin in January 2005 for England, January 2009 for Wales, January 2011 for Scotland, and January 2015 for Northern Ireland and the UK. We advise caution when comparing pre-2015 trends with later estimates because of the methodology change in January 2015.

Users should be aware that revisions may be larger than usual and should note the significantly greater uncertainty around new build prices. UK HPI will now return to the usual 12-month revision period for future releases.

Again the results of which are analyzed in “What affect did that have on me? It is through the experience of things that work well and things that don’t work so well that the 3rd line becomes wise about the best way to do things. Once the wisdom occurs the 3rd line will look to repeat the positive results and minimize or eliminate the negative or unproductive experiences. Be true to your nature, follow your Sacral responses, and embrace your unique journey as a 1/3 Generator.

Books, data, courses, listening, self study, education. Learning for you doesn’t have to look like sitting in a classroom for hours on end. First, understand that authenticity means staying true to your investigative nature. Allow your curiosity to guide you, and don’t suppress your desire to explore and understand. Firstly, the 1/3 Projector profile is known for its investigative nature. As a 1/3 Projector, you have a natural curiosity that drives you to explore and understand the world around you.

3 Manifesting Generator Profile in Human Design

1/3 profile human design

Sometimes such a Personality, being in the process of excavation, does not notice the action of the Body. Still, because 1/3 is the most self-immersed, self-centered Profile. That is, the Body of the 3rd Line has already entered into some kind of experience, heaped up things, and the 1st Line of Personality sometimes only needs to observe the results. Lastly, view solitude as an opportunity to reconnect with yourself. It’s a time to nourish your spirit, recharge your energy, and realign with your purpose. Third, build regular periods of solitude into your routine.

As a 1/3 you need to activate both parts of your profile to see it work as a whole. Don’t be afraid to get out there and use your Line 3 energy to figure out what works (and what doesn’t work!) in order to move forward. The very thing that is going to ‘uphold’ the experimental phase. Taking the time to learn what you need to learn before moving into the ‘trial and error’ part. From the outside looking in, it may appear that you’re ‘taking too long’ to make a move. Your alone time and need to learn, plan and feel ready is absolutely necessary.

Understanding and Living Your 1/3 Profile

Discovering your 1/3 human design profile can shed light on your unique traits, potential challenges, and strengths. In this blog, we'll dive into the fascinating world of the Investigator Martyr profile, providing tips and insights to help you navigate life with this distinctive configuration in your Human Design chart. Get ready to gain a deeper understanding of your personal journey and unlock your full potential. Overall, the 1/3 profile embodies a dynamic blend of curiosity, resilience, and a deep need for understanding, shaping the way individuals navigate both personal and professional spheres of life. By embracing their unique profile and leaning into their innate strengths, individuals with the 1/3 profile can unlock their full potential and live a life rich in meaning, growth, and fulfilment. Let's begin by exploring the key aspects of the 1/3 human design profile, which is also known as the Investigator Martyr profile.

How YOU can get into alignment as a Projector! Video here !

As a Projector, your energy operates optimally when it’s recognized and invited. Understanding who you are at the core, including your desires, passions, strengths, and values, is a crucial step in identifying your purpose. As a 1/3 Projector, aligning with your purpose is paramount to living a fulfilling life. Reflection enables you to extract wisdom from your experiences and apply it in future situations.

Understanding the 1/3 Investigator Martyr Profile

By aligning their investigation and learning with their passions, they can find great fulfillment. However, despite this, there are many intriguing concepts within the system, some of which are grounded in psychology. Certainly, there appear to be many overlaps between the profiles and various personality profile models.

The energy of the Investigator one line compels the 1/3 to figure things out through personal experiences. However, the Generator strategy can help to speed up this process by rejecting incorrect opportunities without the need to first experiment with them. The most important gift Human Design has to offer humanity is our decision-making strategy. Based on what type you are, will determine how you best make decisions. So if you’re a Projector, this means you have to wait to be recognized and invited for the big opportunities in life (e.g., home, career, love, and relationships). Waiting to be recognized and invited is the first step in knowing how to move forward in life.

It gives you the capacity for sustained work and makes you a powerhouse of energy. With this in mind, at the end of each of my articles, I attempt to deconstruct the specific component of Human Design discussed with the post, and look for common features with accredited research. In order to avoid burnout created by incorrect obligations, it’s important for the 1/3 MG to resist the impulsivity of their third line, by tuning into and heeding their Sacral response. The 1/3 profile perfectly complements the Pure Generator type. The inquisitive and adventurous nature of the third line perfectly harmonises the Manifestor’s drive to initiate. The Investigator Martyr’s desire for rich knowledge is rooted in a need for security.

However, it’s crucial for them to remember the importance of patience and not rushing the investigative process. Their desire for security in relationships should be balanced with the natural unfolding of getting to know their partner. Interactions with other profiles can also be a source of learning and understanding. For example, interacting with a 2/4 Profile may bring about a dance of depth and openness, while a relationship with a 5/1 Profile could teach the 1/3 Profile about the balance of depth and universality.

Individuals with the 1/3 Profile are often seen as pioneers and trailblazers in their fields, unafraid to question the status quo and push the boundaries of what is known. They approach life with a sense of curiosity and a willingness to learn from both successes and failures. While they may encounter obstacles along the way, their resilience and determination ultimately propel them forward on their journey of discovery. In Human Design, the 1/3 Profile, also known as the Investigator/Martyr, combines the energies of both the first and third lines.

There is one Myers-Briggs personality type that stands out as being highly comparable. A significant trait of Reflectors is their difficulty in truly knowing their true nature and authentic self. This is a direct result of always mirroring those around them who they admire, and this is important in the context of the Investigator Martyr profile. It is energetically correct for Projectors – and especially 1/3 Projectors – to need alone time on their journey of self-discovery. It is energetically correct for 1/3 Projectors to need alone time on their journey of self-discovery.

Individuals with a 1/3 Profile face unique challenges and growth opportunities. One such challenge may be dealing with the occasional ‘failure’ or mistake as they pursue their process of trial-and-error learning. It’s essential for these individuals to understand that such experiences aren’t failures, but rather stepping stones towards greater understanding and wisdom. We can choose to reframe failure here, instead of believing everything we’ve been told about it. Failure gets us closer to knowing what is right for us, what we want in life. If you feel like this is where you are in life, just start by bringing back the awareness that it is your nature to try things, even if they don’t go as planned.

This unique combination of traits can offer valuable insights into your strengths, challenges, and personal growth opportunities. Before we go any further, it is very important to state that there are so many factors in our individual charts that can see the 'generalisations' of Human Design types/profiles/authority change. Not everything we read/learn/hear about our particular charts will always resonate. Our charts don't take into account our life experiences, so there is no way anyone could possibly determine exactly who you are and what makes you tick simply by looking at your chart.

First, understand that frustration is not necessarily a negative state. Instead, it’s a sign that you’re not in alignment with your true nature or not honoring your Sacral response. As a final note, remember that your Human Design Chart is a holistic system. Your Profile interacts with your Type, Centers, Channels, and Gates to create a unique design.

With all this competition, it takes something truly special to clinch the No. 1 spot, but Crystal Cruises wowed travelers at every turn. "Having traveled on seven Viking longships that are virtually indistinguishable from one another, I believe it's the consistency that makes Viking one of our favorite ways to travel," said one reader. The longships are light-filled floating boutique hotels with a Scandinavian-design aesthetic, indoor and outdoor dining, and herb gardens up on top.

If staring at starry South Pacific nights from moonlit beaches is just the kind of fantasy you have in mind, look no farther than Paul Gauguin Cruises. Nearly all of the plush line's sailings aboard the namesake Paul Gauguin (the line's sole ship) feature overnights in Bora Bora, Moorea and Tahiti, while select itineraries incorporate overnight calls in Fiji and Indonesia. While in port come evening, passengers can sign up for any one of Celebrity's special "Evenings Around the World" excursions, like night swims in the Blue Lagoon in Reykjavik or a dinner and wildlife tour in Aruba. When considering one of the cruises out of Port Canaveral, plan extra time before and after your sailing to soak up all the fun that the area has to offer. There's so much to do in Orlando that you could stay for several days and never get bored — music to your ears if you're traveling with children.

Cruises from Fort Lauderdale sail to the Caribbean, the Bahamas, the Panama Canal as well as transatlantic cruises and longer, more exotic cruises. When deciding which cruise is perfect for your next vacation, one of the most important factors is "departure port." We're constantly asked the following. Think of the differences as similar to visiting Miami on vacation versus visiting Disney World.

One of the best things about Orlando cruises is that you have your choice of theme parks to round out your vacation. They're expansive and immersive escapes into playful worlds, not unlike a great cruise. I love tacking on an extra day or two at an Orlando theme park, usually before my cruise departs. I always appreciate the days of racking up thousands of steps traversing a theme park before boarding a cruise, where I know I'll be able to lounge on a deck or relax in a hot tub.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Occasionally, the line syncs up its overnight calls with big annual events like Rio's Carnival or the Monaco Grand Prix. This seven-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary on Wonder of the Seas® is a top choice if you want to change things up and go on a unique adventure in each port. Your first destination is Philipsburg, St. Maarten, where you can tour the island on an ATV, sample rum from a local distillery or end the day with a sunset horseback ride on the beach.

Strategically located on the upper northwest shore of Chesapeake Bay, Maryland's largest city has one of the premier ports of the Mid-Atlantic region. What's better is that, with only a few exceptions, cruise home ports in North America tend to be located near the heart of the action in their respective cities. That gives you an additional incentive to enjoy some sightseeing on the way to your ship.

It’s easy to make your way to a port near you while enjoying the many sights of NYC. The Cruise Port Guides by Cruise Crocodile is an initiative of the experienced cruisers who have sailed the 7 seas and want to share their port information, photos and experiences with you. Feel free to contact us for any type of questions or if you would like to contribute! Cruises from Tampa sail to Caribbean and the Bahamas as well as transatlantic cruises.

Thirteen cruise ships homeport in Port Canaveral, including Disney Wish and four ships apiece from Royal Caribbean and Carnival. MSC Cruises and Norwegian round out the list of cruise lines that homeport in Port Canaveral. Overnight calls are a signature of the Celebrity brand, with nearly half of the line's itineraries inclusive of overnight stays.

The area's main claim to fame is NASA's Kennedy Space Center (in fact, there's a popular rocket launch viewpoint near the port), while the port itself has parks and dining options. Just south of the port, Cocoa Beach is home to the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame and the historic Cocoa Beach Pier for those looking for a little local culture. PortMiami consistently ranks as the world's busiest cruise hub, catering to local residents and out-of-towners alike. Located on man-made Dodge Island, the port sits neatly between Downtown Miami and South Beach on Biscayne Bay. That lets cruisers explore many of the region's most alluring attractions without venturing too far. Nearby Las Olas Boulevard is an entertainment hub with plenty of restaurants, bars, art galleries and boutiques, while the long stretches of beach north and south of Port Everglades also offer an enticing escape.

Caribbean

Fort McHenry, where the national anthem was composed by Francis Scott Key, sits next to the port. Other popular attractions are located in nearby Inner Harbor, such as the National Aquarium, the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture, and the National Historic Seaport. Charleston is convenient to many residents of the south including South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. Cruises from Boston sail to the Caribbean, Bermuda and Canada & New England. Boston is convenient to many residents of the northeast including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont and New Hampshire.

Look out for related late-night excursions like an exclusive classical music concert at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. For more on maximizing your evenings ashore, see Making the Most of Your Overnight Port of Call. Once we get out of range, we have to start planning flights, ubers, and hotels. That adds a whole level of complexity and additional costs that we'd prefer to avoid. Instead, most ports have a small shop or pharmacy that sells anything you might need at more reasonable prices.

Sailing on the Adventure of the Seas® for eight nights from Port Canaveral, you'll stop in ports such as Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curaçao; and Kralendijk, Bonaire. Each port will welcome you with easily accessible, powdery sand beaches primed for world-class swimming, snorkeling and diving. You'll have your pick of 86 dive sites at Bonaire National Marine Park with more than 350 recorded fish species known to frequent the waters.

Windstar Cruises' fleet of yachts (some equipped with tall sails) is another solid bet for spending longer in port. More than 45 percent of its sailings feature at least one overnight or late-night (meaning, a departure later than 10 p.m.) port call. Encompassing ports of paradise and incredible culture, Orlando cruises are the ideal vacation getaway. For those seeking a more peaceful retreat before boarding their cruises out of Orlando, Port Canaveral is near the white sands of Cocoa Beach. Spend the day enjoying calm, low waves — great for year-round swimming, learning to surf and kayaking alongside manatees and dolphins. Or take a seat on an airboat ride through the wetlands for encounters with alligators and, depending on the season, bald eagles, herons and osprey.

Cruises Amazing Cruises and Cruise Deals

2023 cruise

MSC World Europa is initially sailing in the Persian Gulf out of Dubai but will reposition to the Mediterranean for the summer of 2023. Fares for seven-night sailings start at $559 per person, not including taxes and fees. Another ship that sails the Galápagos, the Celebrity Flora, has 50 suites, many with large verandas, plus a stargazing deck and a fleet of comfortable tenders. The line’s “outer loop” also includes plenty of wildlife watching, plus a stop at the less-frequented Daphne Island. Our award-winning ships are designed for you to enjoy as you choose while cruising to beautiful destinations around the world.

Alaska on Ocean Victory

MSC World Europa is 21 decks high — three decks higher than the Oasis-class vessels. Because a large percentage of the new cruise ships arriving in 2023 belong to an existing class and therefore have a familiar look, cruise fans might not find this year's new arrivals to be as exciting as last year's debuts. Slated to launch in the spring, the 228-passenger Scenic Eclipse II will visit ports from Dublin to Lisbon, as well as both polar regions, in 2023 and 2024. The innovative vessel, which is similar in design to Scenic Eclipse, will have luxurious suites complete with butler service and all sorts of extras, including helicopters (plural) and a submarine.

THRILLING Caribbean TREKS

As for decor and amenities, Oceania has promised an "evolution" of the intimate, residential-style interior venues for which its ships are known. In all cases, the new ships that are on the way for 2023 are already available for booking — and are indeed booking up fast. The year will also bring the first new ship in nearly a decade from upscale line Oceania Cruises, to be called Vista, as well as the first of a new class of ship for luxury line Silversea Cruises, to be called Silver Nova. Check out deals on popular cruise lines like Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and Carnival or look for that discount on a pricey Holland America cruise. Or maybe you have a particular destination in mind, like a Caribbean cruise or cruise to Alaska. No matter which cruise line you love or which destination speaks to you, there's a deal out there for you.

The watery offerings include an Aquapark with multiple waterslides that integrate virtual reality technology. To whet your appetite for cruising in the year ahead, take a look at our list of the nine new cruise ships arriving in 2023 that have us the most excited. It's just one of two major new cruise ships arriving in 2023 that has a tie-in to MSC Cruises.

This is the first time in the 13-year history of the record-breaking Oasis-class series (the world's biggest cruise ships) that a vessel has come close to the Royal Caribbean ships in size. MSC World Europa offers a major new option for cruisers who love being on the biggest, most amenity-packed vessels. Like its five coming sisters, Explora 1 will offer oceanfront suites, penthouses and residences designed to be "homes at sea," and it'll be packed with upscale amenities. They will include 10 distinct culinary experiences, 10 indoor and outdoor bars and lounges, four swimming pools, outdoor deck areas with private cabanas, wellness facilities and entertainment. Upstart cruise line Atlas Ocean Voyages offers all-inclusive fares on its two 98-suite vessels, and, in a departure from industry norms, the brand doesn’t charge solo travelers a single supplement.

The relationship between ship size and luxury

Settle in for dazzling entertainment or dance until dawn beneath the stars. And with top-notch restaurants onboard, every meal turns into a global taste-tour that’s as immersive as your Ultimate World Cruise. From spring getaways to family summer vacations and fall escapes to winter wanders. Escape to the most incredible destinations in the world on the best ships in the biz with big seasonal savings on 2024, 2025 and 2026 cruises. After an initial transatlantic voyage from Barcelona to Miami, Seven Seas Grandeur will operate Caribbean sailings out of Miami for the winter before returning to Europe for the summer of 2024.

2023 cruise

Norwegian Viva will offer a wide range of suite categories (13), as well as the largest three-bedroom suites of any new cruise vessel. Inside Norwegian Viva, ocean view and balcony cabins also will be larger than has been typical for Norwegian ships in the past. Plus, starting in December 2023, Virgin Voyages' brand-new Resilient Lady will offer five two- to 14-night sailings from Melbourne, providing locals with a more modern ship. (It's rare for the Australian market to see brand-new vessels.) Voyages include stops in Hobart, Burnie or both Tasmanian ports.

Cobranded Cards

Every corner of the Caribbean is yours to explore, with the cruise line voted Best Overall for 19 years running by Travel Weekly readers. That's just a tad below the 7,084 passengers that can fit aboard Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas — the world's largest cruise ship. Plus, Norwegian Viva will have The Drop, a 10-story dry slide that Norwegian says offers more G-force than an accelerating Formula One race car. The vessel also will be home to a three-deck theater that converts into a Las Vegas-style nightclub and will host interactive, real-life game shows, including at-sea versions of "The Price Is Right." In addition to asymmetry in many areas, one thing that will be particularly noticeable about Silver Nova is its spaciousness. At 54,700 tons, the ship will be about 34% bigger than the line's last three new vessels — Silver Muse, Silver Moon and Silver Dawn.

In fact, every cabin on Vista will be a balcony cabin, as every cabin has either a full balcony or a more limited French balcony. The ship will have no windowless inside cabins or balcony-less ocean-view cabins. MSC World Europa has 13 dining venues, including the new-for-the-line Chef's Garden Kitchen (an outlet focused on microgreens) and La Pescaderia, a traditional seafood grill with alfresco seating. In a twist, the ship has three separate buffet restaurants as well, each with its own ambiance. Like the Oasis-class ships, it's able to hold nearly 7,000 passengers with all berths filled — 6,762, to be exact. Among lines unveiling new ships that are sisters to vessels already in their fleets are Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Virgin Voyages and Celebrity Cruises.

With every berth filled, Silver Nova will sail with 728 passengers — just 132 more than the earlier vessels. Call it the biggest new cruise ship of 2023 — not in size, but in significance. The unveiling of Explora 1 will mark the arrival of Explora Journeys, an entirely new luxury line that could quickly become one of the biggest in the world. Resilient Lady will initially sail in the Mediterranean before repositioning to Australia for the winter (where it'll mostly cater to the Australian market). Fares start at $455 per person for a two-night voyage out of Melbourne, Australia.

Carnival Cruise Line will continue its move toward bigger ships in 2023 with the unveiling of Carnival Jubilee — the third vessel in its new Excel-class series. Celebrity Ascent initially will sail to the Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades. Another area that will be bigger on Celebrity Ascent than on the first two Edge-class ships is the three-deck-high Grand Plaza. Like Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Ascent also will offer a redesigned Rooftop Garden area with increased seating, new private nooks and two new floating pools cantilevered over the side of the ship. Celebrity Cruises will continue the rollout of its new Edge class of ships in 2023 with the unveiling of Celebrity Ascent — the fourth of five vessels in the series.

Vista will initially sail in Europe before repositioning to North America for the winter. Fares start at $1,699 per person, not including taxes and fees, for a seven-night Caribbean voyage out of Miami. The line has a second new ship, the 4,810-passenger MSC Euribia, too, which will debut later in 2023 — in June, if all goes according to plan. At around 182,000 tons, it won't be quite as big as MSC World Europa but will still be one of the biggest cruise vessels in the world. Additionally, MSC World Europa has six pools and 14 hot tubs, making it one of the most pool-covered ships at sea.

That means the space available per passenger will increase significantly. Explora Journeys will compete in the same upscale cruise space as Seabourn and Crystal, as well as luxury lines like Viking, Silversea Cruises and The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. It'll be run completely separately from its sister brand, MSC Cruises, which caters to a mass-market audience. At 67,000 tons, Vista will be a tad bigger than Oceania's last two new ships, Marina and Riviera. However, it'll carry fewer passengers (1,200 versus 1,250), meaning its "space ratio" of space per passenger will be higher. As for its onboard offerings, MSC Cruises is taking a page from Royal Caribbean's playbook by breaking down the public areas of MSC World Europa into districts.

Finally, experience another natural marvel — the other-worldly geothermal seawater at The Blue Lagoon in Iceland before stopping in New York and Perfect Day at CocoCay on your way back to Miami. Take in the largest Art Deco sculpture in the world, Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro. Behold the largest waterfall system on the planet, Iguazú Falls near Buenos Aires. And explore Machu Picchu, one of the most iconic symbols of Peru’s ancient Inca heritage. Then sail up to the Yucatàn Peninsula to discover hidden coves and dramatic rock formations along Land’s End in Cabo San Lucas before exploring Ensenada.
